Announcing: Fall Market on the farm 2017

fallmarket2017

Hey all! I am so excited to announce that I will be having another Flea Market sale again this Fall!  I am so blessed that my first spontaneous and last minute sale last October was a huge success.  Thanks to your support, I am encouraged to host yet another fall sale.

This years sale will be even bigger and better. The last sale I threw together in literally 1.5 weeks, so you can imagine how wonderful our sale will be this Fall, with months and months to plan, prepare and create custom pieces for your home!

There will be free coffee and a seating area this year as well, so you can come and enjoy our property before or after your shop, or take a little relaxation break in between.

Stay tuned for more details and information as the date gets closer!

Be sure to save the date: October 7th 10am-4pm. This is a one day only sale! However, sale may extend to Sunday October 8th as well, depending on turnout and weather.  Sale date may change, due to weather.  Announcements and updates regarding the sale will be posted on the Endless Acres Farmtiques Facebook page.

The Shed; Booth update, early December.

I want to first say a big thank you to everyone who has supported this new journey the past 3 weeks!  Our first 3 weeks of having a little 8×9 booth space at The Shed in Altoona, Wi has been extremely successful, because of you all !  Because of your support, encouragement, and belief in Endless Acres Farmtiques and what it is that I do!  I am so grateful to have such a supportive community around me.

I have been restocking my booth at The Shed once per week.  I typically restock on Friday afternoons closer to closing.  I will do my best to do weekly blog posts showcasing my booth in its current state and focusing on the newest additions, so you can easily see some of what I currently have for sale, before you venture there to view and or purchase items!

Last week Friday I restocked and rearranged my booth with my daughter.  We have highly enjoyed this new little venture, and it has become a fun family affair.

The lighting in my booth is not the greatest, so I hope to remember to tote along my regular slr camera and flash, for better photographs.

In my booth, I am currently trying to minimize on the current items I have for sale in my sheds, like furniture, projects, home decor, vintage goods, etc.  Once my current inventory gets down to where I’d like it to be, my booth will have more of a ‘theme’ and a general overall feel of adventure and wanderlust mixed with vintage flair.

There will also be bigger and better changes coming to my booth over the next few months, including a large custom Endless Acres Farmtiques sign, custom shelving I am currently designing, and more!  Stay tuned!

Below are photos I took on Friday December 2nd after restocking my booth with new vintage goods and finds!  You can click on an image to enlarge it.

You can shop my unique goods, 7 days a week at The Shed at 1519 Mayer Road in Altoona, Wisconsin.  They are open until 5:00 pm every day!

I am booth # 56 , first booth on the left side of the right isle in the new addition! (whew, did that make sense?) If you can’t find my booth, ask Ed or someone at the front where to find me!  When you visit, be sure to say hi to Jackson the dog as well.  Nicest dog you will ever meet!

Thanks again for your support! What a fun adventure this is becoming!

As always, you can also follow along with my DIY and treasure hunts, over on Facebook as well!

Finding treasures & embracing visions | My adventure at Meadowview Farms’ Spring Sale.

“Vision without action is merely a dream. Action without vision just passes the time. Vision with action can change the world.” ~Joel Barker

Oh… to have a dream so close to your heart and to find a place that reflects your vision almost completely, is a beautiful feeling.

I discovered Meadowview Farm a few years back, right after I also had a vision about owning a small 5 acre hobby farm and using the barn, outbuildings and land for my business.     {This was THE clearest, or only vision really I have ever had in my life.. so I am taking steps daily to get myself to where that vision becomes my reality}

Last weekend Meadowview Farm held their annual Spring barn sale.  A sale that makes my heart do a little leap, my soul smile, and leaves me feeling completely inspired.

Every year Meadowview Farm holds a Spring & Fall barn sale (starting in 2013 they will only be holding one Fall sale) near Osseo & Augusta, Wisconsin.

So come on a journey with me and see what an adventure at Meadowview Farm is all about!

As you take the beautiful Wisconsin back road on your way to the sale.. you will see this and know you are almost there….

As you get closer to the farm, you will see these signs….

As you pull in the driveway ready for a shopping adventure and your eyes will feast upon a beautiful scene…

Just follow the license plate stairway up to the loft of the barn….

….and take your time to look around the loft.  I usually circle the loft at least 3 times, each time finding treasures I had missed before.

My daughter Camryn spotted this sweet little bear all lonely by herself and decided she needed a new home…(upon bringing this little bear home, Camryn  named her ‘Meadow’ )…

I always leave the Meadowview Farm sale with some new treasures, below are just a few ;

A beautiful way to spend part of my Mothers Day, on a beautiful farm…

As always, I left Meadowview Farm feeling once again encouraged and inspired.  Someday my friends, I guarantee that you will see photos of my little hobby farm and you will see my vision become a reality.

Keep pushing yourself to not just reach your vision, but to encourage and inspire others to do the same along the way.  Take action & take steps daily to get yourself where you feel you need to be.
Stay inspired!

Antique Adventures

Discovering Hixton, Wisconsin | Antique Adventures

Last weekend I set out on {another} random adventure. With my two kids in tow in the back seat of the Jeep, we headed south down back-roads for Hixton, Wisconsin. Prior to this adventure, I had never been to Hixton before-I love exploring new towns!

Hixton, Wi Antique Mall

Hixton, Wi Antique Mall

Below are photos of some of the treasures I found while exploring several antique stores that Hixton had to offer;

Antique Structo Truck -purchased at the Hixton Antique Mall for $2.00. This will look super cute in my office on a book shelf.
Antique cup. Purchased for $1.99 at the Hixton Antique Mall. This will make a great coin, jewelry, or random little things holder.
Antique fuel can. Just under $2.00. I bought this, because..I just really liked it!
The back of the can….read it!
My kids looking for treasures at the Meadowview Farms booth inside the Hixton Antique Mall.
Love this! Antique kitchen scale from Meadowview Farms booth at the Hixton Antique Mall. Around $20.

Meadow View Farm blog

Old Ghost Town book $5.00, full of awesome ghost towns and photos from across the U.S.
Old wooden ladder, found burried under other items at the Hixton, Wi Antique Mall, for under $5.00

After spending..seriously..HOURS inside of the never-ending Hixton Antique Mall, checking out every nook and cranny, every corner, every room…we headed to Main Street in Hixton for an amazing home cooked meal at the Hixton Blue Collar Cafe. Where we had an amazing meal and enjoyed the small town, friendly atmosphere. A place I will visit again-and again when antique shopping in the Hixton area.

After a nice warm lunch, the kids and I headed across the street to yet another antique store where I found 2 old blue glass Vicks jars to add to my collection.

Then..we ventured down the road to the Cobblestone Cottage Antiques-which was yet another endless..fun..antique & gift store.

Now is probably a good time to mention that I have been looking for over a year now, for a Whitmans chocolates tin. (being that Whitman is my last name) and I have had ZERO luck. Before setting out to Hixton, I told my son “I HAVE to find a Whitmans tin this trip!!!” … after venturing around the Cobblestone Cottage for about 30 minutes, I walked into a booth -looked around at every little spot, when my eyes came across this;

Antique Whitmans White Cap Mints Tin, $5.00 at the Cobblestone Cottage gift & antique store in Hixton, Wi

S C O R E !

Treasures.

What is an antiquing adventure without some fun along the way? Below are some photos I took during my day trip to Hixton;

My daughter loved this old Ford truck outside of the Hixton Antique Mall!
Abandoned School/Home I came across after deciding to get off the interstate and take a back road!

You can purchase the old School House photo here.

When we were finished antiquing, I noticed the train tracks behind the Cobblestone Cottage, and decided to drive down the road and look down them to see if we could see any train lights coming in the distance, low and behold-we did! So I pulled to the side, and waited..and waited…and..well the train wasn’t getting closer! My son- REALLY wanted to see this train. So..I drove down the main road in town, thinking it would be super easy to find this train we saw far off in the distance–and I took a left, which would have been in the direction to get us to the tracks again–and there were NO TRACKS… at this point my son was so worried we lost the train and would never..see it!

I told him, “Don’t you worry, Mommy will find this train!” I took a quick random left, and right in our face…was THE TRAIN! I pulled off into a Country Co-Op lot, and parked right by the stopped train. At this point, the Engineer opened up his window and yelled “HELLO!!!” to the kids and blew the train whistle.

An awesome way to end our adventure!

An absolutely amazing way to end our adventure as the sun was setting.

We never made it to 1 of the 4 (that I know of) antique stores in Hixton, but are happily saving that one for next time! I never would have thought I could spend SIX hours in a town with just a couple antique stores, and a few cafe/bars..but..I did, and had an amazing time.

It is a very friendly, good old fashioned town, and made me feel ‘at home.’

We started our day with no plans, but to explore and left the day open to -whatever came our way.
It is days like these that I will remember forever (& hope my kids will too).

Hope you enjoyed seeing my treasures and ‘coming along’ on my latest antiquing adventure,
~Kelly
